Dolalak dance is an acculturation dance of javanese and western (European).

At Dutch colonial period , the dutch soliders often danced by using his military uniform and accompanied with songs that contain in rhyme. The word dolalak  actually comes from the nation DO LA LA . Which is part of the notation then evolved in the dialect of java into Dolalak
